Forensic Team Member Qualifies for Debate Nationals

On March 16-17 members of the BJA Forensic Team competed at the South Carolina National Forensic League District Qualifier Tournament hosted by Asheville High School in North Carolina. The purpose of this tournament was to select 24 students in various speech and debate events to represent South Carolina at the national tournament to be held in Indianapolis in June. Junior Margaret Stegall qualifed in Lincoln Douglas Debate. The following other students received awards:
6th-place Public Forum Debate – Caleb Miller and Leah Petterson
4th-place Dramatic Interpretation (second alternate to nationals) – Micah Samuels
Semifinalists in Duo Interpretation – Will Christmas and Richard Petersen
5th-place Senate – Margaret Stegall
6th-place Senate – Nichole Martinson
