Students in K3 through K5 may enroll in either a half- or a full-day program. Half-day morning programs include academic readiness and instruction in addition to non-academic opportunities such as music, art, and physical education. Full-day formats incorporate afternoon activities that often expand on the morning instruction.
The K3 program helps instill an early love for learning through enjoyable age-appropriate songs, rhymes, games, crafts, interactive circle times, and purposeful play in centers for each child. Activities encourage participation in major areas of learning such as personal and social development, letter and number recognition, and motor skills development.
Students receive an introduction to academic concepts including:
- Alphabet recognition
- Initial letter sounds
- Number identification
Prereading lessons are interspersed with age-appropriate instruction in music, science, social studies and language arts.
Bible Truths instruction teaches godly character through accounts from both the Old and the New Testaments.
K5 instruction develops the student’s understanding of the relationship between reading and writing.
General curriculum includes instruction in:
- Reading and listening comprehension
- Heritage Studies
Math lessons are interactive and often utilize manipulatives to build a foundational understanding of concepts including:
- Number sense
Bible Truths lesson topics include:
- Studies of both Old and New Testament characters
- The life of Jesus
