Music

BJA’s music program provides students the opportunity to develop their musical talents for the glory of God. Throughout the year, students involved in our vocal and instrumental ensembles perform concerts of classical, semi-classical and sacred music.

Academy music groups regularly perform at a variety of locations such as at the Biltmore House, in Greenville area Christmas events, in area churches, and in other community venues.

Check our Facebook page for other recent opportunities and events that our students have participated in.

Early Childhood

Music is a wonderful tool that can be used for brain development. Our music program exposes children to a variety of styles, cultures and techniques. Children have the opportunity to play instruments, learn about composers, learn fun and exciting songs and develop a love for music.

Elementary

All elementary age students participate in weekly music classes. In addition, students in grades 4 and 5 have the opportunity to join concert ensembles that give performances throughout the school year—including a Christmas vocal concert at the Biltmore House and other local venues. Elementary ensembles include:

  • Choir
  • Vocal Ensemble
  • Band
  • Orchestra

Secondary

Bob Jones Academy’s robust secondary music program helps students develop musical skills and to reach for excellence. Performance ensembles are featured in several programs, contests, festivals and outreach ministries throughout the school year. These groups seek to expose the young people to musical literature while developing their talents and stretching their skills.
