Carrie Pait is no stranger to the elementary school where she has been subbing for about four years. Since graduating from BJU with a B.A. in history and M.Ed. in history education, she has taught online, in-person, 1st grade through college, and ESL (including 2 years of teaching in China). Her passions are history and literature/English. She is excited to help students understand lessons from the past and apply those ideas to where they are today. The Elementary School would like to welcome Luke Baker to our 5th grade team!
Luke is a teacher from the Pacific Northwest with four years of classroom experience. He holds a bachelor's and a master's degree in elementary education from Liberty University. As a follower of Jesus, Luke is passionate about making Christ known through teaching God's Word and academic subjects from a biblical worldview. His mission is to create meaningful opportunities for students to explore sound doctrine rooted in Scripture while also developing their intellectual abilities and practical skills. Beyond the classroom, Luke enjoys braving the wilderness (hiking), navigating treacherous waterways (paddleboarding), covering vast distances on foot (running), and exploring unknown lands (reading), as well as refining his homemade pizza and cinnamon roll recipes.
