Admission Process

Step 1: Inquire and Visit

Your admission journey begins with an inquiry form so we can learn more about your family and your student. Once submitted, our admission office will follow up to schedule your campus visit.

During your visit, you’ll tour the appropriate school level, observe the learning environment, and meet with school leadership. This is your opportunity to experience BJA firsthand and ask questions about our mission, academics, and community.

Step 2: Apply

When you’re ready to move forward, complete the online application and submit the required documents. These materials give us a clear picture of your student’s academic background and school experience.

There is a $125 nonrefundable application fee.

Required Documents

  • Immunization record
  • Grade records
    • K3–K5: none required
    • Grade 1: evaluation/report card from K5
    • Grades 2–9: last two years of report cards
    • Grades 10–12: high school transcript
  • Test scores or readiness screening
    • K3: informal screening (no fee)
    • K4–K5: readiness screening ($50 fee)
    • Grade 1: readiness screening ($75 fee)
    • Grades 2–5: recent nationally standardized achievement test scores (within 14 months); readiness testing as needed ($75 fee)
    • Grades 6–12: recent nationally standardized achievement test scores (within 14 months); if needed, contact us about scheduling testing through BJU Press Testing
  • Psychoeducational evaluations, IEPs, or 504 plans (if applicable)
  • Custody decree (if applicable)

Student Statements: Grades 6–12

To be completed by the student within the online application:

  • Who is Jesus Christ?
  • Do you have a personal relationship with Him, and how do you know?
  • Why do you want to attend BJA?

Recommendations

Name and email address for recommendation/s 

  • K3–12: Your pastor or another leader at your church who knows your family
  • Grades 1–12: Your child’s teacher or a school administrator

Step 3: Academic Testing and Parent Meeting

Students will complete academic screening or submit recent standardized test scores, depending on grade level.

Parents will also meet with a school leader to talk through expectations, student needs, and the partnership between your family and BJA. This conversation helps ensure alignment in both academics and overall educational approach.

Step 4: Admission Review

Once all materials, testing, and meetings are complete, school leadership conducts a thorough review of your application.

Each applicant is considered carefully to determine whether BJA is the right fit for both the student and the family. A final admission decision is made at the conclusion of this review.

Step 5: Enroll

After the review process, you will receive your admission decision. If accepted, our team will guide you through the final enrollment steps.

To secure your student’s place, a $300 nonrefundable enrollment fee is required. Completing this process confirms enrollment for the upcoming school year.
