The Academy maintains a varied physical education curriculum for both elementary and secondary students that includes training in team and individual sports and an emphasis on health and fitness.
Students in K3 through grade 9 have physical education as a part of the academic curriculum. Voluntary participation in elective classes and on interscholastic sports teams provides students on the secondary level with additional athletic opportunities.
High school girls can try out to be a part of the Academy cheerleading squad. The girls cheer for the interscholastic sports teams as well as for special school spirit activities such as pep rallies.
Athletics is a microcosm of life, where rules, boundaries, strategies, victories, defeats and relationships are tools used to hone Christlike character. Through our interscholastic sports program, athletes in grades 7 to 12 learn broader and deeper life lessons.
Both the middle school and varsity level offer interscholastic volleyball and basketball for young women and soccer and basketball for young men.
High school teams are part of the South Carolina Association of Christian Schools league, and middle school students play in the Carolina Middle School Conference. The program has produced state champions.
