Expectations
- 2025: Middle School faculty and administration attend; in other situations please contact your principal.
- [In an all-school year, all K3-12 faculty and administration attend; some staff attend. Principals are the final say about whether a BJA employee is to attend.]
- Regular school dress while at the convention.

Provided by BJA (sign up through your principal)
- Shared room at the Sheraton (sign up through your principal for who you will share the room with; due Sept 10)
- Transportation via school vans (sign up through your principal to ride a school van; due Sept 10)
- Cash! $220, provided shortly before trip, for meals and convention registration via Whova ($101 if completed by Sept 10).

Location for convention & BJA-provided rooms: Sheraton Myrtle Beach
- BJA-provided rooms are reserved by Sarah Fleming
- Check in after 4 p.m. on Wednesday
- Receive room assignment when checking in at hotel
- For those staying here, parking is complimentary but breakfast is not provided.
Alternate Transportation/Housing Plans
- Transportation: you’re welcome to drive your own vehicle and pay for your own parking.
- Staying elsewhere: you’re welcome to stay elsewhere
- To receive $140 housing credit (represents your half of the Sheraton room at $70 per night) notify Sarah Fleming at least 2 weeks before the trip.
- Bringing a spouse/children to stay at the Sheraton Myrtle Beach
- Depends on availability; see Sarah Fleming by Sept 10 to request, cost is committed 3 business days in advance of trip
- $140 total (covers 2 nights; pay via cash/check made out to BJA)
- Staying for the weekend at the Sheraton Myrtle Beach
- Make your own arrangements with the hotel, will not be for the group rate.
