Due to COVID-19, BJA has modified its 2020 summer school program. Here’s our 2020 High School Summer School.
Below for what we had originally planned.
What is it?
Students who take summer school (grades 9-12) are able to take additional electives during the school year or make up credits they lack. Because summer school is both challenging and condenses a full year’s coursework for one subject into a six-week period, summer school students attend every day, except in the case of illness.
When is it?
The 2020 summer session begins on Monday, May 18, and concludes with exams on Friday, June 26. During the first three weeks classes meet Monday through Friday, 7:40 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.; there is no school on Memorial Day. During the second three weeks classes meet Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m. until 12:15 p.m.
What does it cost?
The cost for one class in summer school includes $815 for one unit of tuition and a $50 registration fee (registration is per family). Tuition and registration are due by the first day of classes.
How do I register?
Information about and access to summer school registration is emailed to Academy families by the middle of April each year.
