Our art students are actively engaged in creating and exhibiting artwork under a team of experienced and caring faculty. Several levels of classes are taught, giving students of all abilities the opportunity to develop their gifts.

Weekly art classes encourage children to be creative through the use of many different techniques and materials. Through age- and skill-level-appropriate instruction, students are introduced to famous artists and a wide variety of media and techniques.

Students also use their artistic abilities to create ornaments for the BJA Christmas tree as part of Greenville’s Festival of Trees. In addition, students participate in an annual art show, and a number of students individually enter their pieces in art contests.

Secondary

BJA’s secondary art program offers courses at the middle and high school levels.
