On March 4-5, the BJA Speech and Debate team competed at the South Carolina Forensic Coaches Association State Championship tournament.
After 5 rounds of competition followed by Semi and Final rounds, the Academy team was crowned the 1-A State champions as well as the 4th place overall school.
Senior Benjamin Nicholas won the 2011 Dramatic Interpretation State Champion title.
