In March, 7th and 8th grade students participated in an annual Jog-A-Thon.
In one hour, 166 students ran, jogged, and walked 2568 laps or 642 miles around the BJU outdoor track. The Jog-A-Thon was held to raise money to go toward new bleachers for the BJA gymnasium.
Mrs. Litzenberger’s 8th grade homeroom ran the most laps with a total of 19.74 laps per student.
Michael Leung and Christopher Rawlings both ran over seven miles; Melissa Dickinson, James Kuzmic, Caleb Labadie, Bailey Martin, Brendan McNeely, Casey Miller, Karl Walker, and Matthew Woodington each ran six miles.
Students raised money by bringing in pledges for each lap they were able to run.
As of April 12, the Jog-A-Thon has accrued almost $7000.
