The Academy high school girls volleyball season began August 19-20 at the 2011 Bible Baptist Christian School Volleyball Classic in Hampton, Ga.
The Lions played in three preliminary rounds against Bible Baptist Christian, Shiloh Hills Christian and Mountain Area Christian.
The preliminary rounds were followed Saturday by elimination rounds pitting BJA against Killian Hills Christian. The Lions lost to Killian Hills 22-25 and 26-28 after two well-played games by both teams.
Congratulations to senior Adi Blaj for receiving an All-Tournament Trophy.
