The Academy Jr-Sr Banquet is a highlight for all juniors and seniors as graduation approaches. A longtime BJA tradition, the banquet has been held at off-campus venues for the past ten years. The 2013 Jr-Sr Banquet saw a change of venue back to the BJA campus. Students were awed as they enjoyed their “Evening in Paris,” including a French café banquet hall and an incredible Eiffel Tower in the Quadrangle of the campus. Over 250 juniors, seniors, faculty, and guests attended the banquet, which was catered by the BJU culinary arts students. The Junior Class officers hosted the evening, which included a performance of “Three Murders and It’s Only Monday!” by Pat Cook and a video presentation featuring the Senior Class. Mr. Marshall Franklin, BJU’s executive vice president for operations, challenged the seniors following the presentation of a time capsule to be opened at their ten-year reunion in 2023. The evening will be long remembered by those who attended.
