BJA’s seventh-graders spent their Friday the 13th at The Wilds Christian Camp in Brevard, N.C. The trip, an annual event for the seventh-graders, began with an “are we there yet?” bus ride. Upon arriving at The Wilds, students received camp instructions, had a devotional challenge and then partook of the various activities The Wilds offers. They rode the giant swing and the land trolley; climbed the rock wall; tested their accuracy with water cannons; and played human foosball, GaZEEball and miniature golf. Following a picnic lunch, they hiked to a waterfall and swam in the stream. After the hike and now wet, they went tubing and walked to the lake where they plunged from the jump tower, dropped from the zip line and perhaps most entertaining of all, flew into the water from “the Blob.”
