A sultan, a princess, a servant and a genie carried out the Arabian Oasis theme of the 2016 Junior-Senior Banquet. Juniors impressed the seniors with colorful decorations, tasty food and exciting entertainment—all done to honor the seniors as they anticipate their graduation. Juniors performed Scheherazade, a well-known story from Tales of the Arabian Nights. The dinner was prepared and executed by the BJU culinary arts students with BJA sophomores taking on the role of servers. Tables were arrayed with beautifully decorated glass jars made by members of the junior class. The evening culminated with a video presentation featuring the senior class, a time capsule presentation and a challenge by BJU president Steve Pettit. The Junior-Senior Banquet is the beginning of a number of events leading to the May 12 high school graduation.
