Your family may have a tradition similar to ours. On Christmas Eve we gather to sing Christmas carols and then read one of the accounts of Christ’s birth. Often we read Luke 2. We enjoy sweet fellowship. More importantly we reflect on the greatest gift ever given—God lovingly giving His Son to take our penalty for sin so that we can have an endless relationship with our Creator and Savior. The story never loses its luster.
Will you take a moment to share this story with me? It’s familiar, yes. But in such a busy time perhaps reading this beloved account is exactly what you need—right now.
