BJA middle school students took a well-deserved break from classes at the end of the first quarter for a day of activity and fellowship that is called the annual “Excursion,” a tradition going back some 40 years.
The students enjoyed a trip to a local county park where the morning was spent in a spirited game of “capture the flag” with some unique features that have developed over the course of the years. This year the middle school was blessed with beautiful weather for the entire day.
After a picnic lunch, students returned to the field for some strength contests—tug-o-war matches between homerooms and even between the boys and the girls. Who won overall will remain unsaid …
