The elementary school is pleased to announce the inauguration of the Fast Facts Math Challenge, a second-grade math initiative.The program, developed by teacher Mrs. Wendy Harris along with the second-grade instructional team, focuses on building a strong foundation of math fact recall— which is vital to the development and mastery of more advanced math skills. Each week, students participate in a math challenge that includes a tiered series of fact recall based on number families and ability level. Students who achieve their weekly goal are awarded a distinguishing arm band and a place on the second-grade wall of honor.
