On Monday evening, November 18, the high school Concert Choir, under the direction of Mrs. Marty Nelson, performed at Biltmore. In between singing their 30-minute program four times, choir members mingled with the other visitors touring the facility. What a wonderful opportunity to sing about the true meaning of the Christmas season!
As guests flooded into the Biltmore mansion on Tuesday evening, November 19, they were greeted by the beautiful sounds of the elementary school vocal ensemble. The 25-member ensemble, under the leadership of Miss Joanie Pegram, presented a musical package comprised of traditional Christmas carols along with several unique pieces, including a medieval piece. The group presented their 30-minute program four times throughout the evening and enjoyed touring the Biltmore house during short breaks from singing.
While an excellent musical experience, singing at Biltmore also provided a unique opportunity for students to use their talents to minister to others while representing BJA.
