Rep. Wendy Nanney of SC District 22 spoke to the high school current events class. She shared her route to politics, including her love for American Government class while at BJA and her family’s involvement in politics. The class discussed state government topics such as school choice, healthcare, the road conditions, election ethics, bicycle laws, a new abortion law, and some odd laws that people want passed. Rep. Nanney shared stories of her favorite part of her job—helping South Carolina citizens. She explained to the class that she is able to share her testimony and take a conservative stand on issues as she works in Columbia. Rep. Nanney’s district includes Bob Jones Academy.
