What do boiled peanuts, tea, milk and yellow jessamine all have in common? Just ask a BJA student! Students in K4 through sixth grade recently participated in “Celebrate South Carolina!” week, and learning state symbols was just part of the fun. From coloring flags to enjoying state snacks to creating South Carolina-themed artwork, students experienced our great state through a variety of fun activities and lessons. Armed with their Palmetto Passports, students in grades two through six tested their knowledge of South Carolina by hunting for answers to daily state trivia questions. Each correct answer earned them a passport punch and a step closer to a prize. In addition to these fun opportunities, students also spent time remembering and praying for other Christian schools around the state.
