For several hours BJA sixth graders set down the books and picked up the gardening tools – all in an effort to give back to the Greenville community. In cooperation with the Greenville Recreation Department, students worked to spread mulch, weed plant beds, rake volleyball courts, and pick up trash at Herdklotz Park just off Rutherford Road. Each elementary class at BJA has a unique community outreach project ranging from ministering to children at Greenville Memorial Hospital to encouraging veterans at local assisted living facilities.
