Fifth- and sixth-grade students recently completed their science fair projects. The Science Fair is held annually and is a culmination of an extensive study of the scientific method. While the length of the process and the final presentation vary slightly between the grades, both fifth- and sixth-grade students receive very thorough instruction during class hours—then the majority of the work is up to the student as he/she researches and experiments in an area that interests him/her. At the end of the process, students’ projects are placed on display for fellow students to enjoy and a parent night is hosted to allow parents the opportunity to share in the completion of the projects. Special congratulations to Blair Carrier and Ian Hamrick, this year’s Best of Show winners.
