For several years the elementary and middle schools have had a student appreciation day—and last year, high school students were added to the appreciation day. At each school level, the Administration is doing something special for each student; and teachers are encouraged to be creative in showing appreciation to the students in their classrooms.
On Friday the high school is providing a soft drink for each student, and the faculty have baked hundreds of homemade cookies for all. The middle school gives out school-oriented coupons to be redeemed in various classes, and students also have open seating at lunch. Elementary school children will be greeted by Liam, who will be handing out a small gift to each student.
Administrator Dr. Dan Nelson commented that “While the administrators, faculty, and staff appreciate every day the wonderful students God has given us, the BJA Student Appreciation Day gives us the opportunity to proclaim loudly and in unison, ‘We love you and are thankful that God has allowed us to be part of your educational life.’”
