Faculty, staff and administrators attended the annual Academy Winter Fellowship Monday after school. This special time is set aside each year to bring all levels of faculty and staff together for fellowship and for information. This year the meeting featured a “thank you” to the teachers and staff for their faithful service. A video featuring all Bob Jones Academy employees was shown, lots of good food was consumed, and each teacher received a BJA sweatshirt from the Administration. In addition, several faculty members spoke about new ministries and opportunities at BJA. Sandy Mehus spoke about the opportunities art students have had to showcase their work in town. Paul Muller gave a testimony about the trip elementary students took to help a flooded church. Katie Klipp demonstrated the new technology teachers are using to communicate to parents from the classroom. Anita Sedivy updated the group on the growing ministry of the Child Development Center. On the high school level, Gail Nicholas explained her new job as Public Relations Coordinator and Loyd Henderson gave a lively challenge on being the “new guy” at BJA. Each of the administrators had a chance to speak as well as to thank the faculty and staff. Overall, the event was challenging and uplifting to all those who attended.
