While our students enjoy a break from school, BJA teachers are attending the Southeast Christian School Convention in Myrtle Beach. More than 2,500 Christian school teachers from the Georgia Association of Christian Schools, North Carolina Christian School Association, and South Carolina Association of Christian Schools congregate to attend general sessions and workshops such as “From Social Media to Social Security: Unraveling the Mysteries of a Multi-generational Staff,” “Science and S.T.E.M. for Younger Grades,” “Common Core Standards: Ripe or Rotten? Common Sense on the Common Core,” and more than a hundred others to choose from.
Teachers eagerly anticipate this refreshing time of fellowship and focus. It is an opportunity to recharge the educational batteries and explore new teaching methods. Every year teachers return to the classroom with new ideas that energize their teaching.
Please pray for us as we attend. Pray that we will be iron sharpening iron as we learn from and encourage teachers from other schools. And pray for us as we return that we will be effective in training students academically and challenging them spiritually.
