You, the parents of BJA students, are the best recruiters we have. So why not reward you for the tremendous job that you do? Beginning this year, we will credit your child’s school bill a one-time $500 award for each new student that enrolls in BJA in the fall and indicates that you are the family that referred them to BJA. If there is more than one new student in the family, we will credit your child’s school bill $750 for the new family. And you can continue to recruit families and receive credits up to the entire amount of your child/ren’s BJA tuition liability (does not include other fees).
How do we know whom to credit? There is a question on the BJA application for admission form that asks, “Who, if anyone, referred you to BJA?” When the new family applies for admission, they can indicate that you referred them to the school. Based on their indication and as long as the eligibility guidelines are met, we will credit your November school statement with the appropriate amount. We hope this will be an encouragement to you as you continue to tell others about the value of Christian education at Bob Jones Academy.
Here are some additional guidelines:
- Recruit new families with one or more K3-12 full-time or part-time students.
- The family must indicate your name on the application as the person who referred them to BJA.
- The student must apply, be accepted, and enroll in BJA for the 2017-2018 academic year.
- The student must continue to be enrolled at the time the credit is awarded.
- First semester credits will appear on the November school statement. Second semester credits will appear on the March school statement.
- BJU/BJA employees are not eligible to be recruited.
For your convenience, referral cards are available at each school office. There is a place on the card where you can write your name before you give the card to a family with whom you have shared your appreciation of the school.
A second method of lowering your bill is with our new needs-based scholarship program. We work with SmartAid to administer this scholarship program. SmartAid charges a flat administrative fee of $35 per family. You will need to have some of the typical financial documents available to answer the questions. Program links and instructions are available here.
The deadline for the initial consideration is the end of the day on Sunday, March 19. You may submit an application after that date, but a response to the application is likely to be delayed for the next batch to be processed. Applications which have been submitted by March 19 will be considered promptly with responses shortly thereafter. Funds are limited, so we recommend that you apply early while funds are available.
I hope you will find these possibilities helpful as you seek to provide your children with excellent Christian education with a biblical worldview.
Bob Jones Academy exists to assist like-minded Christian parents in challenging students to love Jesus Christ, to embrace God’s Word, to exercise integrity, to pursue excellence, and to serve others.
