High School Summer School Information
General information about high school summer school, open to rising 9th through 12th graders, is available here. Summer school online registration begins on Wednesday, April 11.
A parent may request a summer class for his/her child online. In general, this is a first-come process. A waiting list will immediately be created for those who are not able to get into the preferred summer class. The academic office will contact parents whose student has moved from the waiting list to the course rolls. To confirm that your student has been placed in a class, check his/her NetClassroom summer schedule one full workday after you submit the request online.
High School Fall Registration Information
Information about high school courses, graduation requirements, and more is available here. Registration for fall courses and music lessons is scheduled for April 17–20.
Parent meeting: 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10, in the middle school cafeteria. Please mark your calendars now so you don’t miss this informative meeting. We will cover the registration process and provide an overview of academic information that is important for parents of high school students. Students will receive an overview that week during middle and high school chapels.
Coffee with the Advisors: 3 – 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11, and Monday, April 16. These are informal afternoon drop-in opportunities to discuss registration or other academic concerns.
Registration: During the school day (one grade per day) between April 17 and April 20 during English 8, English 9, English 10, and English 11. Your student should bring a completed Registration Request form (available by April 10) to class that day, and the academic office staff will work with the students during class to actually complete the online registration. The Registration Request form includes a place to write down requests for fall courses and music lessons—and for rising juniors and seniors who qualify to attend a BJU class.
Change Requests: Parents will be able to immediately view the student’s course requests in NetClassroom, and change requests can be made at no charge through the end of the school year. From May 11 through June 22, course change requests will incur a $5 fee. From June 23 through July 13, change requests will incur a $15 fee. From July 14 through August 1, there will be a $25 fee. Changes made to a student’s schedule after August 1 will be made for administrative purposes only.
