Some of you, like me, enjoy looking at the numbers. If so, this article is for you. Here are a couple of interesting statistics about this new school year.
This year we have 175 new students compared to 133 last year. That is a 32% increase. We plan to send out a new family survey in the upcoming weeks to identify the reasons for the growth. Thank you for your part in telling others about the wonderful school God has raised up and how He is using it to benefit your family and children.
There was a growth of 1% at the secondary level (504 this year up from 498 last year) but even greater growth of 5.5% at the elementary level (581 this year compared to 551 last year). Totaled this year, there are 1,085 in K3 through grade 12. That is an overall increase of 3.4%. This does not include approximately 100 more children in the child development center.
There is more to rejoice in: the retention rate for students returning this year is a tick stronger. Last year, the retention rate was 92% while this year it is 93%. It was an admirably high retention rate last year so that makes this year’s rate even more noteworthy. We praise the Lord for His goodness to us.
In the end, success is not measured in numbers but in the work that the Lord accomplishes in the hearts of the students. As we partner together with you and your church, let’s pray that the Lord will do a mighty work in the hearts of our children this year.
