Do you wonder what goes on during the summer months? If you have had the opportunity to visit during the summer, you know the campus comes alive with projects and planning. Administrators and workers pick up the pace to fit together all the pieces necessary for teachers and students to return in August.
While it may seem there is ample time to get everything done, the days are full with hiring new employees, planning new programs, and interviewing and onboarding prospective families.
At the same time, we are upgrading facilities. Projects this summer include carpeting and painting in the elementary building, painting the middle school lockers BJA blue, and installing a new wood floor in the Academy gymnasium. Because the sixth grade is moving to the middle school, we are moving classroom furniture and teaching materials from the elementary building to the middle school. To accommodate the sixth-grade move, several middle school teachers are transferring to other rooms as well.
As you know, this is a big year of transition as EDUcamp Jr. absorbs day camp. So along with six weeks of summer school, there will be plenty of a student activity on campus all summer.
Please pray for us as we work diligently to complete all of this during the few months that we have before school resumes. We want to provide the absolute best environment for our students to learn and grow within the framework of a biblical worldview education.
Bob Jones Academy exists to assist like-minded Christian parents in challenging students to love Jesus Christ, to embrace God’s truth, to exercise integrity, to pursue excellence, and to serve others.
