Dear Parent: Happy Friday–just barely! Before the week closes I want to update you on our plans for the fall as well as share several other items of interest for you. K3–12 fall plans. We plan to provide traditional 5-day per week on-site instruction as well as our normal before and after school childcare this fall. Within this return we plan to be sensitive to the health and safety needs of our students and families, especially those in high-risk situations. We have been working diligently and prayerfully to create a school environment that is reasonable with an effective means of risk-mitigation. We intend to give you more detailed information soon, possibly by the end of next week. We will not be able to provide a virtual option alongside our in-person instruction. However, we routinely work with families of students who miss school due to extended illnesses and will continue to do so. CDC hours. Our CDC reopening has gone well, and we plan to return to a full-day (7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.) childcare when school begins—and definitely sooner if we are able to provide needed staffing. School survey. Thanks to all who completed the parent satisfaction survey regarding our handling of the end of the spring semester. The research report includes much helpful information. While we are sharing a version in which we have redacted the verbatim responses, we are carefully reading those comments as well. Now is a great time to order uniform items to ensure that you’ll receive them prior to the first day of school. Custom skirt lengths available. If your daughter needs additional length on a skirt in order to meet BJA’s requirements, here’s how you can take advantage of this very generous offer: check the size guide to find instructions on how to measure your child for needed additional length; with measurements in hand, contact the Lands’ End Uniform Support Team at 1-800-388-3677. They will help you to place your custom order and answer any questions you might have. They are available from 8 a.m. until midnight, seven days a week. Due to the custom nature of these orders, they make take longer to process, so be sure to place orders in plenty of time! Elementary supply list. Our elementary supply list has been updated for the 2020–21 school year. An updated middle school supply list is coming soon. We’re continuing to pray for you.
