Senior Night is one of the most enjoyed nights at the Academy. On Senior Night, we get a chance to recognize all of the seniors who have put in so much work on the soccer field and the volleyball court to represent our school. The event always looks wonderful when it’s in progress, but how does it get that way? What goes on behind the scenes so that we are able to celebrate the seniors and honor God?
Mrs. Harwood is the answer! She is behind what makes this night so special. The Triangle interviewed her to find out what goes into a night that the seniors will never forget. She said she starts planning and ordering for the night well in advance of the evening, and it takes about an hour to set everything up. She orders balloons and flower arrangements for the mothers and sets up a beautiful looking table in the middle of the gym. Senior night is the way that we honor the seniors for all of the work they did in athletics–we all should thank Mrs. Harwood for making it the memorable night that it is.
