BJA Store: Friday, Sept 1
We are working to restock the BJA Store t-shirts and sweatshirts! The store will be open on Friday, Sept 1, from 1:45 p.m.–7 p.m. in the Acad Corner Assembly Room. 

BJA-Alert Test Tuesday: Check Contact Info

We will send a test alert through the FACTS emergency notification system, on Tuesday, Aug  22, around 5:30 p.m. 

Alerts will

• come via text (only),
• come from BJA’s main number, (864) 370-1395, and
• begin with “BJA-Alert”

To prepare, please (by Tuesday at noon)

• Text “START” to 31706 from your mobile device
• Ensure that contact information is up to date
  • In FACTS Family Portal, select Web Forms, then BJA Parent Contact Information Update (under each parent’s login).

K3–12 School Pictures

School pictures will be taken on Wednesday, Aug. 23. Students through Grade 11 wear their school uniforms for the picture. Seniors will be given more information at school.

Happening at School: Parent Volunteers & Spirit Rocks

We love having parents volunteer at school! Here’s how you can get involved: 

• K3–5: Watch for information from your child’s teacher 
• 6–8: Join the MS Parent Service Team on the BAND app to volunteer!
• 9–12: Volunteer and join the HS Parent Service Team on the BAND app 

Our Spirit Rocks give us an opportunity to celebrate school events–and more. Each building will use them a little differently.

• 1–5: Classes assigned to decorate
• 6–8: Sign up to celebrate your child’s birthday 
• 9–12: Stay tuned for details

6–8 Crew Shirts

If your student needs a Crew t-shirt, please order one by Tuesday, Aug 29. The cost is $15 and will be billed to your FACTS account. If the cost of the t-shirt is prohibitive, please contact Sarah Walters.

6–8 Best Day Ever (Shh…. it’s a surprise!)

The Middle School’s first Best Day Ever will be on Friday, Aug 25. The surprise will start after chapel when students will leave campus and return by 3:10 p.m. Lunch is provided, and crew shirts and athletic pants/shorts to the knee are appropriate attire. If your student has food allergies, please contact Sarah Walters by Tuesday, Aug 22.
