Are you praying for the students and faculty of Bob Jones Academy?
We certainly desire to see our students grow academically, but even more we desire to see them grow spiritually. My heart breaks to learn of varying circumstances that our students face—academic struggles, financial difficulties, illnesses, family troubles. It is so vitally important that we pray for our young people. As we begin a new school year, please pray that our students will have the discipline to accomplish the work required of them and the faithfulness to be true to the Lord in all areas of their lives.
Please, also pray for our faculty and staff. The pressures on a teacher are enormous. For example, you can imagine how difficult it is for an elementary teacher to play the role of teacher, parent, diplomat, disciplinarian, and counselor. The teachers and staff certainly need our prayers.
We are praying for your family that God will give you strength as you meet the responsibilities of leading and directing your children in Biblical principles and a loving relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.
Dear Lord, thank You for the beginning of a new year, a fresh start. Thank You for the constant flow of blessings which You bestow on us. Thank You for forgiveness. Thank You for grace. Thank You for hope.
Give each student a clear understanding of the transforming good news of salvation. May You instill a desire within the heart of each student to work diligently to do well—not simply for their benefit but for a testimony to Your glory. Help them to understand the purpose of each course and how it can bring You glory in their lives. Above all, teach them to love You. Allow them to see You in all of Your beauty and glory. Protect them from the lures of the broad way and may they seek the peace of Your green pastures and still waters. Grant courage as You lead them through the dark valleys. May they be kind to others and reflect Your forgiveness to those who do them wrong. Heal the brokenhearted. Deliver those held captive by sin. Give sight to the blind. Set at liberty those that are bruised.
Give wisdom, grace, strength, patience, compassion, and creativity to the faculty and staff. Help us to love others as You love us. May we be a reflection of Your Son each day. May we demonstrate faith in Your principles, hope in Your promises, and love for the Person Jesus Christ. Help us to see each student as You see them and guide them through the ups and downs of their daily journeys. May we joy in what You are planning to do in each of their lives.
And, Lord, we ask for Your blessing on each of our families and the circumstances of their homes. May You be exalted. Give wisdom and courage to each parent as they build their homes on the solid foundations of Your Word. Please provide for our families—even in miraculous ways. May they rest in the knowledge that You will never leave them nor forsake them.
As the years pass and one day we kneel before You, may we praise Your name for what You have done in us and through us. Thank you most of all for Jesus. In His name, we pray!
