Ready to think about electives for next school year? Ready or not, it’s that time!
Due to the COVID-19 situation, we’re doing registration a little differently this year.
To register successfully, rising 6th through 8th graders and their parents need to understand:
- the new schedule–it impacts the number of electives to choose,
- the electives that are available, and
- the process to register for electives.
New Schedule (aligns with the new high school schedule)
- 1st hour 8–8:50
- 2nd hour 9–9:50
- 3rd hour 10–10:50
- 4th hour 11–11:50
- Lunch 11:50–12:20
- 5th hour 12:30-1:20
- 6th hour 1:25–2:15 (M/T/Th: elective; W/F: chapel)
- 7th hour 2:20–3:10 (daily elective)

- Arts, A/V Tech & Communication
- Handbells
- Organize-Plan-Succeed (OPS)
- Robotics (by application only; apply by 8 a.m. on Tuesday, April 21 to be considered)

- 7th hour (daily) electives

- Band
- Digital Skills
- Handbells
- Language & Technology
- NEW: Mock Trial (by application only; apply by 8 a.m. on Tuesday, April 21 to be considered)
- Orchestra
- Robotics (by application only; apply by 8 a.m. on Tuesday, April 21 to be considered)
- Speech & Drama
- Study Hall
- Yearbook Production & Photography (by application only; apply by 8 a.m. on Tuesday, April 21 to be considered)
Electives Registration Process
- Applications, when required, are due by 8 a.m. on Tuesday, April 21.
- Elective registration will be held the week of April 27. Stay tuned for more information. Essentially, though, elective registration will involve the student requesting:
- one 6th hour elective along with two back-up choices and
- one 7th hour elective along with two back-up choices.
