The Lifetouch pictures were sent home for grades K3–11 today. Seniors will get theirs on Tuesday. Picture retake day will be Monday, Oct 23.

K3–5 Speech & Occupational Therapy Options
Through partnerships with Greenville County Schools and Advanced Therapy Solutions Kids, BJA gives parents the opportunity to pursue speech and/or occupational therapy at school during the school day.

5–12 Basketball Tryouts

Middle school basketball tryouts start Monday, Oct 23, and the other teams tryout the next week. A current sports physical is required to tryout. 

6–8 Crew Trips, Friday, Oct 20

The middle school crew trips will be Friday, Oct 20. This semester Mitrata & Samhold will participate in bonding trips while Servir & Ushujaa have a service trip. If you could help provide items for the goodie bags Servir & Ushujaa will be assembling, please sign up here.

8 Acad Corner Building Access
To help with the safety of the Acad Corner building, a new new front doorbell camera is installed on the doors facing White Oak Drive. Starting Monday, between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., that building will be locked. Please come to the Hutto front office or ring the doorbell for assistance.

9–12 Band Concert
Bring a lawn chair and enjoy our first concert of the year! The high school band will present an outdoor concert on Monday, Oct 16, at 7 p.m. in the BJU Activity Center. The theme is “Sackbuts and Synthesizers: Music New and Old.” The concert will feature music by Palestrina, Purcell, Respighi, Hazo, and Sweeney. 

In case of inclement weather, the decision will be made to postpone the concert by Sunday evening, Oct 15, and will be communicated right away to band members by the director as well as changed on the school calendar.
