Monday, October 14, marked the official launch of the elementary school’s soccer camp. Open to fifth- and sixth-grade students, these biweekly training sessions are led by athletes from the BJU Bruins soccer team. The camp is held during the school day at no additional cost and offers students a unique opportunity to receive instructional training in skills and strategies. On Monday, over 50 students took advantage of this free training and took to the field to begin the 6-week camp to develop and hone their skills. “Training under the expert leadership of collegiate athletes is a rare opportunity for elementary students,” says Dr. Dan Barbrow, elementary principal. “We are thrilled to be able to make such an experience available for our students and look forward to our ongoing partnership with the Bruins.”
