Earlier this week Greenville officials held a news conference to discuss their expectations regarding the number of visitors to the Upstate for the eclipse. A point of concern was the heavy traffic expected on local roads throughout the day. As the number of visitors planning to be in the area on Monday continues to swell, BJA’s administrative team has determined that the best course of action for our families is to close school on Monday, August 21, rather than continue with the planned half-day of school.
However, to best care for the needs of our families for whom this decision could create a hardship, we will provide complimentary childcare for children in K3 through grade 8 from 7:30 a.m. until noon. The child development center will operate on a regular schedule.
Enjoy your day!
